Preserving Critical Protections for America’s Imperiled Wildlife

The House approved an amendment eliminating the “Extinction Rider,” a provision in a pending bill that would have increased the risk of extinction for hundreds of imperiled species. The rider would have blocked new listings or habitat protection designations under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
