Congressman Peter DeFazio is heading up efforts to rally his fellow congressmen into action to save America’s gray wolves – please call your representative today and ask them to sign onto this important letter to Secretary Jewell, asking her to stop the proposed delisting of almost all gray wolves in the Lower 48!

The deadline to sign is March 14th!

Need help with what to say? Here are a few suggestions:

  • The independent peer review panel of expert scientists was unanimous in reaching its conclusion that the wolf delisting rule does not currently represent the “best available science.”
  • The ESA mandates that all listing decisions be based upon the “best available science”. Not using the best available science runs completely contrary to the act.
  • The Fish and Wildlife Service should withdraw the delisting proposal for wolves based upon the peer review panel’s repudiation of the scientific basis for the proposal.
  • Hold USFWS to the standard of best available science. Sign Mr. DeFazio’s letter telling Sally Jewell to follow the science and rescind the proposed rule to delist most gray wolves in the lower 48.
